Well, apparently Mahomes is out now and Henne's in. He threw his coat down on the ground before leaving the field with a trainer. It may be that they just want to have a better look at his knee and ankle and that's tough to do with him sitting on the bench on the sideline. They can also provide some kind of treatment inside to perhaps get him through the game as well, depending on what his injury is.

Update: Mahomes' status is now "questionable" to return. However, the Chiefs haven't missed a beat without him so far.
