Sean McVay returned to the Rams and staff changes were expected and some have: OL coach Kevin Carberry, Special Teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis, DB Coach Jonathan Cooley, Assistant DL Skyler Jones and Defensive Assistant Lance Schulters will not be returning, per source.

How can anybody judge an OL coach after all those catastrophic injuries last year?
Only 3 things occur to me to possibly explain this dismissal.
Perhaps McVay wants to have road grader types on OL now rather than the smaller and quicker zone blocking types and doesn’t think Carberry favors that type and/or can’t adapt?
Or the inexplicable decision to keep starting Evans at OG even after both Skura and Aboushi were available? If THAT decision was all on Carberry I would question his thinking, too.
Or maybe Carberry and McVay have just grown apart philosophically and personally?
