Always have an exit plan before making judgments.
It's easy to say fire someone... harder to find a replacement that works out.
for every homerun hire comes many bad hires before.
Rams could get someone that plays alot of aggressive coverages and end up with a low ranking defense.
Stylistically, people may like that.. but then they may not like the results.
It would be interesting to see who McVay hires if Morris goes.
I would not be surprised if he is looking for something similar in a D-Coordinator, running 2 high shells with soft coverage.
If McVay controls the the types of schemes he wants.. then would you want to have Morris or someone else?
Or even fire McVay?
Right now, the only win I see is for Morris if he gets a head coaching position.
Not a clear Win for the Rams because you don't know who the replacement is and what the ask of McVay is.
