a lot of the "name only" thing is going to be up to McVay. If Sean has a guy in the job who's perfectly capable of handling the complete job but McVay won't let him do it... then, yeah.. he'll be an OC in name only. We already saw that happen with Matt LaFleur and Kevin O'Connell. I think both those guys were capable... they just weren't given the reigns to do it. Now Liam Coen may be a different story. I'm not convinced Coen was much help to McVay in any aspect of the job which may be why McVay was such a wreck. Even though Matt and Kevin didn't call the plays, they provided something valuable to McVay in their role as Offensive Coordinator. Coen couldn't or didn't do for him what they did. McVay thinks Mike LaFleur can. That's just my opinion.
