I found it amusing that a young lad posted on social media that the NFL should hire fulltime officials and my response was: "I've been asking for that since the Reagan administration." Let's be honest here, it's always possible that there is a crucial call that could change the outcome. You have to overcome the call and if your team is good, most of the time they can. If the Rams force another three & out on the extended series, nothing is said.
Not sure there is much you can do, besides IMO, if the Officials were full time I believe they would be better. Test them not only in the classroom, but allow them to exercise providing them with trainers and I do believe the results would be better. But we all know that is never going to happen and the best way to deal with Officiating is just hope you have the opportunity to overcome a bad call, the Saints even had that opportunity.
