Frank and I watch a lot of television shows together. Most of it is quality tv (at least it is to us). It's cheap entertainment, we enjoy it, and it gives us a lot to talk about. A lot of the shows we've enjoyed are done for the season or the series we've watched over the years finally came to an end (Homeland, Empire, Ray Donovan, How to Get Away with Murder). And with no baseball on either to help us pass the time, we are in a tv show desert right now as there is absolute nothing on our weekly schedule.
So I started looking for shows no longer on the air to watch that were critically acclaimed but were not on our radar when they first aired. I found some: Friday Night Lights, The Wire, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Justified, Unbelievable, and The Good Place to name a few. We started watching The Big Bang Theory months ago and are up to season 7. I love that show. Also, we started watching The Mandalorian last night. So I think I have enough to fill our evenings for a good long while. If we watch and don't like them I'll just keep looking till I find something we both like.
I wonder how COVID-19 will affect fall programming if studios aren't able to film?
