Oh I agree, my point was while the lockdown may have served a purpose in slowing the spread, it was never going to stop it, just causing the virus to take longer to spread.
Like I said, people by the tens of millions were still going out and then coming home. the likelihood of transmission was still high with the lockdown. The only thing that will stop it is a lack of hosts that stops it cold, or a vaccine, which we know may or may not work and when it gets here is up in the air.
Everyone can only try to stay safe and see where it goes from here.
