"While surgical and N95 masks are in short supply, cloth masks are more accessible and reusable. Although cloth masks and N95 masks have different purposes, both are intended to slow the spread of COVID-19. A cloth mask is worn to help protect others in case the wearer has the virus. An N95 mask helps protect the wearer from getting the virus from others."
Even without that, though, isn't it obvious that if you're wearing a mask of any kind and you cough or sneeze the mask will keep you from spreading your disease? (And unless you've been tested the only reasonable answer to "Are you contagious?" is "I don't know." )
I am wholeheartedly in favor of personal freedoms. But freedoms are limited all the time. My right to target practice in my backyard is restricted just because there are houses only 100 yards away. My right to blast my stereo until 4:00am is restricted because my neighbors don't like the 'noise'. (Go figure - I play great music!!). My right to drive 90 miles an hour in a school zone is restricted ... well, I think I made my point. You absolutely have the right to get infected with whatever disease(s) you choose - but you have no right to infect me or my loved ones. That's what the mask is for: us. Not you.
And finally, as far as "ZN has decided", all he is doing is performing the research that some people can't be bothered doing and reporting what he's found. If there ever was a time for "Don't shoot the messenger" this is it.
Exactly!!!
Laws and rules we live by are for keeping people safe....speed limits and laws preventing drinking and driving are their to protect the public, not to strip you of your freedoms
Wearing a mask in public seems to be impossible for some and it's some sort of conspiracy that pretty much every medical publication says wearing a mask helps slow the spread of the virus .....I wonder if their loved ones worked at a grocery store all day they would still have the same views about them?
