If you liked that series-and who didn't-you might be interested in the TV series "Bosch". They are close to beginning their second series. Its based on a series of cop books by Michael Connelly and focuses on a homicide detective in the Hollywood division of the LAPD. Connelly was a crime reporter for the L.A. Times who spent years with the LAPD as their beat reporter. His accounts from all reports are very accurate. I've read many of his books that formed the basis of the TV series. In the series and the books Bosch is like the Joe Friday in Dragnet.
