I just came from the grocery store. I wasn't stocking up for Doomsday or anything... just there to get things I needed to make Cajun Chicken pasta and a few other things. I happened to walk down the "household cleaning" aisle and was shocked to see about 1/2 dozen packages of Clorox wipes on the shelf. I thought those things were sold out most places? I didn't have it on my shopping list... hadn't even thought about buying any... but... there they were right there in front of me, so I thought.maybe I should get some while I still can. The package I bought contained 3 cannisters.
I had lunch with my Bladder Cancer Support Group today and I looked around the restaurant and noticed that people are very conscious about not touching each other . They are trying hard to adhere to the recommendations given by the CDC, WHO, etc. No hugging or shaking hands but lots of greetings by bumping elbows.
My financial advisor sent out a mass voice message to all his clients this afternoon to tell us that they are keeping a close eye on the markets and to assure us that if we feel the need to talk to him about our own situations and portfolios to just call him. He knows that we are nervous... and scared... he's in charge of our life savings. But he is very conscientious and he cares about doing right by each one of us. I'm just gonna ride it out and hope I have something left when it's all over with.
