Yeah, I'd have to agree with your assessment..

of EJ's talent.. he is NOT of this Earth, so to speak.. In being a musician, I cannot even IMAGINE how he does what he does and the melodies he writes that are just so amazing.. I guess Bernie Taupin hands him lyrics and then EJ make total magic of them.. flat out amazing.. and his abilities on piano are just endless..

Like I said, back in the day I didn't like him because of his flamboyance - and I'm glad he did away with that for the most part.. I remember seeing him on TV once without the band and the frills and stuff and thought he was amazing.. So, I'm pretty sure I'll dig this show..
