I don't joke anymore. Orwell's world has come to pass. It's not even just 'scary', it's terrifying.
I have almost entirely weaned myself off Google... but I know that in doing so I haven't even begun to free myself of spies.
And it's only going to get worse. Our dependency on computers, the internet, runs so deep now that control is out of the question.
The guy whose ranch I just visited in Oregon has electricity but no cell service, no internet, and he doesn't use satellites. He's cut off.... more and more I envy people like that. I won't ever do that... but I will continue to envy them. - JamesJM
