Me too.
Not quitting, quitting, but giving it a long break. Probably the start of preseason.
No scotch or coke-a-colas since the superbowl, been working out, bike riding and walking a lot. (flat here in southern Texas).
But listen to this.
I was hit by a car in 1992, have had 18 surgeries since and have been on opiates.
After 43 years my doctor retired, couldn't find a primary that would refill my script, after all these years and I refuse to go to a dope clinic, so I decided to just quit them.
Thought I would be bouncing off the walls, destined to fail.
BUT, what I discovered was, less inflamation, less swelling, less weight gain and LESS PAIN.
Imagine, the thing that was prescribed to lessen my pain actually caused more inflammation which lead to more pain.
Man, it's a F_cked world.
Losing weight, have more energy, feeling a lot better. But I don't over do it, not even close.
Do still have my 2 cigars a day, not a total quitter, lol
