I call it my "theory of opposition". I've calculated that with the Rams whenever the odds are soooo in favor of something happening that would benefit the Rams the opposite occurs rougly 85% of the time. I.E. "Brees is at his own goaline with 3rd and 30 to go". You guessed it-a 31 yd completion for a 1st down. Or "Bears kicker Cody Parkey lines up for a winning 58 yd FG. It would be the longest of his career" You guessed it -clears the posts with room to spare. Or "Brady has had trouble this year with facing a strong rush. Here comes Donald and Fowler". You guessed it-Brady escapes the rush and throws a td pass. That wouldn't be so awful if it only happened once in a while but 85%?
I attribute this all to Martz's decision to kick an on side kickoff to start the 2d half against ?? Patriots ? Pissed off the football gods. Also Rosenbloom"s mysterious drowning.
