I'm guessing the top two teams in each division will play each other , then the winner of each division will play each other ?

Yep. The AAF is halfway through their inaugural 10-game season (2 more games being played today).

Eastern Conference- Orlando, Memphis, Birmingham, Atlanta (Orlando is conference leader at 5-0)
Western Conference- San Diego, Salt Lake, San Antonio, Arizona (San Diego is conference leader at 3-2)

Two playoff games scheduled. One on Saturday, Apr 20, the other on Sunday, Apr 21.
The Alliance Championship game will be played in Las Vegas on April 27.
