after reading your post I did a search that led to a few websites giving the odds of going from HS to JC, DivIII, DivII, DivI, etc. I'm dubious.
They gave the odds of going from HS to Div I NCAA Football at something like 39.6 to 1. I find that hard to believe. So roughly - - - 40 is probably the typical roster number around here so using that stat, and considering that only half are SR's... then every 2 years a HS should have 1 player moving on to DI. If that's true it means:
That Kerman, my grandson's team, is WAY behind the average. We currently have 2 kids playing DI... well, kind of 2... Fresno State has a player who played YOUTH football in Kerman but not HS.
Having followed Kerman for about 15 years they are the only three I know of who have made it to D1. Figuring half the Varsity are SR's that means in 15 years 300 ex-Kerman players have graduated. 3 out of 300. That's 100-1 odds of playing DI.
