Funny.. like 5 minutes ago..

I just ordered a Cleveland Pear Tree from an online merchant.. I saw an ad on facebook and went to look at it and pulled the trigger..

When this particular tree blooms in spring, it has little white flowers all over it - your cotton photo made me think of that, so I had to post about it..

Why did I order it online, you ask? Almost two years ago we lost our little Beagle, Lucie.. We still talk about her every day and miss her so much - she was so special.. The spring after she passed, we decided to plant a tree to remember her.. In Texas, we have these trees everywhere that bloom white flowers in spring, goes green in summer, then red in fall.. I wanted that tree for the white flowers in spring to remind us of Lucie..

We bought a tree at a local nursery - they told me the tree was a Magnolia.. I don't know jack about trees, so we bought it and I planted it.. it definitely was NOT the right tree and, despite my best efforts, it too passed away last Fall.. So I decided to get the RIGHT tree this time and hopefully it thrives..

I saw the ad on facebook and decided - what the hell? We'll see if a tree ordered online survives in Texas...
