The weirdest thing was what happened last Saturday.. This was supposed to be an amazing story, but didn't turn out that way since she didn't make it:
So, last Saturday (as in over a week ago) we decided to not let Torrie suffer anymore and took her to the vet to ease her suffering.. I really wasn't comfortable with it, but was trying to do what was best for her.. So, my wife is in the passenger seat carrying Torrie.. We get to the vet, I park, and run over to open the door for her.. The door had auto-locked and would NOT unlock, no matter what I did.. The key FOB didn't unlock it.. the interior door locks switch didn't unlock it.. The manual lever was FROZEN stuck in place and woudn't move to unlock it.. the key would not unlock it.. I got back in the dirver's side and told my wife, "there's your sign".. When a Honda Accord door lock actuator breaks the second you're at the vet to put your pet to sleep, to me that's a sign..
So, we didn't go through with it and upon getting back to the house, Torrie immediately started perking up.. We swore we had done the right thing and were sure she'd get better.. and she did.. but it just wasn't enough.. Thursday we were taking her back to the vet to let her go again because she had really gone downhill VERY quickly and she passed on the car ride to the vet..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
