1) Hill-My wife says why pull him now-they will eventually run out of their good relief pitchers. I said "you don't understand baseball". Oh well-what do I know.
2) Game of inches-3 incidents.
a) Utley: If he makes that early play on the ground ball the runner is out. He eventually scored and that run was the difference (as of the 9th inning)
b) Puig: The fly down the right field line Puig makes a wonderful try but the ball hits his glove and goes into the stands. Runner eventually comes around
which again is the difference (as of the 9th inning)
c) Bollinger: He bombs one in the bottom of the 9th that would have won it but it short by inches.
3) Puig: give him credit for the home run. He's done so much better this year. However, the last pitch of the game-he was back to last year. Low and outside.
Question: In football and basketball players after the game from both sides congratulate each other. But not in baseball ??
