I think I recall you saying you did like them.. for the people watching?
I'm not agoraphobic but I think I share some traits with those who are. I'm ill at ease in malls... but not from 'fear'. They're too impersonal for me. I actually enjoy my local hardware store... small Mom and Pop shop.
Things are changing, for sure... but I don't think we're going to see the end of what a 'mall' basically is... a social gathering spot. People need that - or well, most people do. I'm not sure, (not a visionary), what current Malls will morph into but I think they'll adapt and eventually return in an altered form.
Or... something else will arise on the horizon that allows for social gathering.
What I'm trying to say here is that: I do not see people walling themselves up in their homes and communicating, (shopping), only through tech. It goes against human nature... EVEN THOUGH... it does appear to be going that way right now... but I think that's because 'tech' is so new... we haven't adapted to it yet. - JamesJM
