but I believe it got mixed reviews.
I've never read a King book as far as I know. And never been a fan of his movies in general. But I do love several. The dude is just so prolific.
The Shining
Misery
Shawshank
And then the rest is just a hodgepodge for me.
Cujo
Green Mile
Stand By Me
maybe Hearts in Atlantis... but I don't really remember anything about it other than I liked it.
After that, I don't know. I've seen a lot of the horror ones: Carrie, Pet Cemetery, Christine, etc. etc. but I didn't care for any of them.
I saw Salems' Lot when I was a kid and it freaked me out pretty good. lol
As for the Exorcist. I saw it when I was 8 or so. It was on Primetime and so I watched it by myself. I can honestly say that it scared me to the point that it changed who I was. I have seen the movie recently and it no longer carries the same intrigue. And I guess I have gotten used to modern special effects so some of it seems hokey. I can't imagine reading the book and imagining what was happening in my head. The scariest scene for me was when he was playing the reel to reel tape backwards. Not sure if that scene was in the book but its haunting.
