here is the thing

first and foremost I love Braveheart too...one of my favorite movies of all time and yes fighting scenes are freekin' awesome

#1 If it was historically accurate, I doubt the movie would be half as good. I'm sure 99% of the movies based on
real characters are completely doctored: Catch Me IF You Can, Blind Side, Glory, etc. , but all great movies


#2 Actually, I did not know anything about the Scottish oppression/history , but this movie did shed some light
on some of that history which I'm sure made many in the general public aware of it.


By the way, I love Mel Gibson movies from Lethal Weapon to Apocalypto
