I have imported from China in the past when I had my event business and FedEx got it through Alaskan customs and to my door typically in about a week from leaving the factory. The longest was 10 days and the fastest was 4 I think. Weight was 10-40 pounds typically.
I wouldn't rely on the USPS for shipping to a remote location but FedEx and UPS could do it and you can track it. 60-70 pounds is going to cost a bit but might be worth it not having to drag it around. Or you can just ship clothes/toiletries/personal stuff etc and only take the dive gear so it simplifies the trip having just that to worry about.
If you are traveling in the US try it and I assure you that you will do it often because the ease and convenience is a DREAM when travelling to a city for a 3 or 4 day weekend getaway.
