I've been jetski'ing since 1988, so fairly experienced.. Normally my state of mind is, just like in my posts to 23, to stay away from everyone on the lake.. This year has been different, tho, because the ski has been broke for a couple of years.. We had to rebuild the carbs and replace all the fuel lines and "fuel pump" along with completely cleaning the gas tank of all the crud etc.. I've owned this ski since '94 (one owner and my second ski) so it needed a lot of maintenance..
So, this year I have only been to the lake 5-6 times to test run it.. I've gone early each time with NOBODY on the lake yet - I literally have been the only person on the lake every time I've gone this year and today was no different.. That's the beauty of going early on a Friday - all the morons don't get there until Friday late afternoon at earliest..
I, myself, hate people who jetski.. I think they're mostly idiots with a false sense of security and coolness on the water.. I especially hate people who allow their 5-6 year olds to ride their jetski's unaccompanied by adults... Completely irresponsible, imo, and exceptionally dangerous to everyone else on the lake.. I actually think we've discussed that on this forum a while back...
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
