I drink it very seldom. I used to drink it... a LOT.
I'm a once a month, or even once every 3 months partaker - and even then usually one, sometimes two... rarely 3 but it happens.
I was VERY into Guiness, the dark ales in general, and I still am... I think they are the best 'tasting' beers... but not the most refreshing. For refreshing:
I like the German Lagers, (Lagers from a few other countries as well)... .they have 'flavor', something Bud, most American beers, lack, IMHO. I'm not a fan of any of the Mexican brands.. Corona, Dos Equis, Modelo, etc.
I'm not a fan of Asahi, (Japan), but, and I'm sure it's all in my head, it DOES seem to go very well with Japanese food.
Like you I had a Bud Light recently after not having one for years; many, many years... I was not impressed. Won't be having another.
Beer aficienados will not get this next, at all, and rightfully so... but for me I can't really tell any difference between a Bud and a Coors... not when ice cold... I would say Bud holds it's taste better at any temp less than ice cold than Coors does but that's no thumbs up because IMHO neither one is good.
