no one gets anything "free" from Direct TV-believe me. They may "think" they are getting the NFL package free but they are not. One needs only to read the fine print of their modified contract which sometimes takes a person with a PHD in in finance to figure out. I've been around and around with the provider and its like the old saying: Nothing (NFL Package) comes free. Your bill may reflect no charges for NFL package but look carefully at what you have added to your subscription and compare your bill over -at a minimum 6 months to the last 6 month -when you had the NFL package. Then come back and proclaim you got it "free".
I dropped the NFL package because I will be getting the Rams on local stations now that they are back. And they waived the cancellation penalty too. But guess what? My bill is now only $10.00 less than when I was paying with the NFL package. Tell me how that is possible. These guys are pretty smart and you are not getting anything over on them.
