Lucky, or unlucky?

Ashton, my grandson, (I have a lot of grandsons), will be a Freshmen this year and the QB for the JV's. He's filled in as QB before, several times, but he's a RB. Last year's QB transferred so Ashton is now the QB.
Summer Passing league just ended a week ago so his coach was thrilled when a few days ago we informed him of this:
He had surgery this Friday past. Here's the 'lucky/unlucky' query.... bad luck breaking your nose just as football season is getting underway OR - the doctor's say he can't have any contact for 4 weeks.. preseason starts in.... 4 weeks. Lucky or unlucky?
and in case you're wondering - it happened playing basketball with his older cousin. Head to nose contact. - JamesJM
