I agree. I have little faith in modern designers and have seen very few examples of newer uniforms eclipsing the timeless designs by those of the past. The XFL is a good example of this. I don't think any of those uniforms look "better" than most NFL uniforms.

The problem with trying to be cutting edge or fashionable is that you generally just wind up with something that is quickly (out)dated.

I also don't agree that modern and new fans don't like or want to change away from the Ferragamo's. They are still very unique and still timeless.

The throwbacks they now wear remind me of the Captain America movie. The movie makers didn't want to use the comic book version of the costume to they presented it in the movie as a joke. It was ill-fitting and uglied up to warrant going to the re-design. Sound familiar? The current version of the Ferragamo's have been uglied up and re-designed in such a way that they resemble the originals but aren't nearly as impressive.
