Best thing I've read today........
Question
Aren't the combine interviews weighted, too? From my mock "The combine can confirm some stuff you think you see or don't see, but the combine is more for the interviews, drug tests and weigh ins.". The scouts usually have a good feel for a prospect by the time the combine rolls around because they have already talked to the prospects college coaches and others that know him esp. if they have concerns. The combine interview is a chance the coaches and GMs get to talk to a guy and hear from the horses mouth.
With the juniors coming out this the chance to examine them??? Scouts have known about the Juniors when they were freshman or sophomores. Scouts are territorial, so the same scout that was at Clemson, South Carolina, UNC, NCST etc etc last year was the same scout that was at those colleges this year.
I sense that your reluctance to take Perine may relate to the "signal being sent" to Gurley in the event of an early pick in the draft
And I would arch a brow, too, if I were Todd. And, I could see the strain that could be the fallout of a perceived slight if Snead and Coach made a 2nd rounder a RB Maybe, but I'm not sure I would put Gurley's feelings above fielding the best time I possibly could. If they draft a RB at all, that is admission that either henderson is a flame out after 1 year (I doubt they give up on him that quickly) or that they need to prepare for Gurley not being around in the near future. i'd take Perine in the 4th because he is great value there.
However, that they couldn't get Henderson situated to make contributions made me cast an eye as to why? my guess is slow learner combined with the fact that he isn't adept at pass protection and the Rams needed their RBs to pass protect this year
And, if there's a sloughing off or lack of intense attention to detail Henderson might be the "signal being sent."
McVay wouldn't much tolerate that, even with the chance that the kid makes good things happen when out there
I will say that after watching the SB, the need to protect the QB, and kill it in run blocking caught my attention. SF was almost in the Chief backfield every snap.
Larger than that was the need to have a serious linebacking corps to deal with SF.
That both you and Alyo select Fotu sings Giving credit where credit is due, Alyo has been on Fotu a lot longer then I have been.
That he joined in the praise of Bredeson gives more credence to you mock Agreed, because Bredeson is love/like/don't like kind of prospect IMO. He is all over the board.
I've got my eyes on WRs, and the question marks with TG3 keeps distracting that cause. Yep, thats my problem. I'd love t oland a Mims or Tyler Johnson or Van Jefferson, but the holes elsewhere are getting in the way.
In an honest discussion about offensive roster situs, do McVay and Snead have increasing concerns about Brandin Cooks that eclipses the health of Gurley? 1 more concussion and that is a very real possibility. But as of right now Cooks is healthy and Gurley is not/never will be so for now I think they would be more concerned with Gurley. It has to be tough framing a gameplan not knowing if your former all pro RB will be at full strength or 50% or somewhere inbetween...
If we lose both Corey and Dante, we're definitely needing some help......There are different ways to help improve your LBers without drafting or signing FAs. The 9ers LBers are 3rd 4th and 5th round picks, but that DL is so good that it allows those guys to just make plays. Rams need to improve the DL IMO.
Thanks for doing this today. Needed to solid Ram stuff to get lit back up
btw, if took Dobbins I couldn't blame them much.......he's a fire hydrant with wheels.....
