He was originally hired as a "senior offensive assistant" which is not high on the totem pole. There is no such thing as "THE" extra eyes. There's lots of extra eyes. Nothing in Fisch's job title indicates he would be the equivalent of a coordinator. O'Connell has a much loftier position than Fisch and if Fisch was in line to be a coordinator, it did not happen obviously.
Are people really trying to judge how McVay sets up his own coaching staff? Seems strange.
If you look around at various coaching staffs, there's nothing unusual about the Rams set-up. Seattle for example has 13 offensive coaches, counting the coordinator. Rams have 10, not counting the new RB coach which will make it 11.
