This is fueled by your prejudice (and that's what it is) that a team can't build an OL without first round picks.
People batter you with examples of that happening all the time, but it makes no dent. The prejudice is too deep.
I'm giving you a hard time on this (which you deserve) but it's only on this. Not saying anything about you personally.
But on THIS issue, you are impervious to facts. The prejudice is too strong.
Two of the lower round picks you disparage are already starters, as rookies. They contributed to the Rams putting up 31 points on the league's 2nd ranked defense.
I define "neglect" properly. The Rams did not ignore the OL position. You have a prejudice. You only count 1st round picks---and again, that's in spite of the evidence abundantly showing that teams throughout the NFL have built top lines without first round picks.
