I am really happy for Higbee as he is everything we could have hoped for. I also like that he got so much better after signing the contract. This contract looks like a good one for the Rams.
In hindsight it looks like we have a few really bad contracts: Cooks, Gurley and Haves. Some might say Goff but I think he just go the going rate. We are paying Cooks and Gurley as super stars and their performances are nowhere near that and both look to have long term issues that will hinder their performance going forward. Haves just kinda sucks and will be an 8 million dollar a year bench guy unless he can move inside.
Bad contracts, no cap space and little draft capital are a bad combination. My hope is that these guys all turn it around and Les continues to find diamonds in the rough in the mid rounds. McVay and Goff will continue to grow and hopefully the adversity of this year will be a benefit going forward.
I guess the Ramsey trade at worst will be keeping him for a 5th year and 2 franchise years then a 3rd round comp pick. Hopefully they sign him long term but they may be gun shy after crapping the bed on LT deals.
