I sorta liked what I saw last week. I think it's a good base for McVay and the O as a whole. Maybe throw 5-6 times more than last week. But I think a power game is good for the team. Take away the penalties and it will be even better. Not to mention, it'll get Goff back into play action mode.
McVay knows that he needs to allow his new OL to take baby steps before they can be expected to really run.
So, expect a limited O scheme for a bit longer. The OL’s rate of progress will dictate how much of the playbook McVay will utilize moving forward. Gonna be a helluva balancing act.
Winning is paramount in McVay’s thinking. Rams are virtually in ‘must win’ territory for the rest of the year, given how well the Vikings and Seahawks are playing. And that’s just to make it as a wildcard.
Rams picked a very bad year to have a poor OL for the first 2 months.
