It’s your loss. Merlin made everyone around him better, including Deacon.
He was a rock in the middle of our D for 15 years. Merlin did it all, great pass rusher, unparalleled run stopper, great team leader and team captain. And super intelligent.
I was in New Orleans in 1976 at the end of Ole's career. I’ll never forget him running out on the field at the super dome, the entire Rams team followed behind him like puppy dogs as he lead them around the field. Merlin was the greatest Rams team captain and leader we ever had.
