I'm glad that McVay and Goff plan on staying together a long time.
I remember reading an article regarding Cousins
performance after McVay moved on to the Rams.
In it, it pointed out how much better Cousins was with McVay. Cousins even admitted that McVay made understanding the offense so much easier than not.
Makes you wonder what Cousins could be doing at this point if he still had McVay by his side?
Don't get me wrong, Cousins seems like a decent QB but he has a knack for not winning the BIG games.
Just the thought of where Goff could be 5-10 years from now is pretty exciting.
All of us Rams fans and Jared as McVay's QB prodigy are very blessed to have this special person and coach lead the Rams.
Cousins will be a close friend of McVay for years after his football career as a starting quarterback is over.
I'm sure you remember these articles as too Killrazor.“He was our play-caller for my two best seasons in the league. … It’s pretty self-evident why he’s had a big impact on my career,” Cousins said Wednesday.
“He was there calling plays when I was struggling, and didn’t give up on me, encouraged me through that process and believed in me.
I’m reading Bill Walsh’s book, ‘The Score Takes Care of Itself,’ and Bill says in the book that four of the most powerful words you can say to a player as a coach are, ‘I believe in you.’
Sean said that to me over and over again even when there weren’t many people that did. So, that certainly means a lot.

"He was 26 [years old] as the tight ends coach of the Redskins, he walked around like he was 55 and a head coach for years," Cousins said.
Cousins then went into further detail, telling a story how McVay completely stopped practice one time when Mike Shanahan was the head coach.
"[McVay] pauses practice [and says] 'Woah, woah, woah, we haven't covered this with the tight ends. Coach, excuse me,' and he starts coaching them.
Mike Shanahan looks at the script and is like 'what? who are you stopping practice?
I'm the head coach.' But that was Sean. He just has a calm, a presence, a control about him."
Cousins endorsement of his former offensive coordinator did not stop there.
"If he stands in front of a room, guys get behind him," Cousins said on McVay. "He has a passion for the game, very smart, picks up things quickly."
While neither are a part of the Redskins organization anymore, their time in Washington was very influential in getting both McVay and Cousins to the point in their careers now.
