That would be nice.
Remember when they sat him near the end of the season, they said this:
Quote
Gurley’s knee also was an issue after a season-opening victory over the Oakland Raiders, when Gurley rushed for 108 yards and caught three passes for 39 yards and a touchdown.
“It was a similar situation,” McVay said.
Gurley said Thursday that he, “Felt like s—” after the Monday night game in Week 1.
“It was bad,” Gurley said. “I was contemplating on giving the Rams back their money and everything. It was bad. It was real bad.”
McVay here is saying that the knee issue after game 1 was similar to the knee issue near the end of the season.
It can't be simple wear and tear after game 1.
Plus of course that means it recurred.
Never have they said the knee is fine, whatever it is is over, no problem. Instead they talk about managing him and his carries.
There is a knee issue. Apparently the issue flares up. It did twice last year.
They think they can go forward with him by managing his time. Then again it's a huge cap hit to cut him anyway.
