Even with the financials aside I think the Rams really like Brown and art thrilled to have him for 2 more years.
I also think they really like Kelly and are excited to see how he develops in year 2.
I would expect that Davis is on the bubble and perhaps could be replaced in the draft this year with a change of pass runner.
Both Brown and Kelly are one cut and go type of runners that will put their head down and get positive yardage each time the carry the ball. And that is what makes them valuable and a great match for a zone blocking scheme.
What we might be missing is the change of pace guy that is elusive, fast, quick, good hands and route running. Some who can make a high impact play and give the defense something else to think about.
I don't think this is a huge need but running backs tend to fall in the draft and we might be able to steal a guy like Singletary and he might actually be able to get into some games as a rookie and have an impact. I am not sure how likely that is but it might give just a little more pep to the offense and would pay immediate dividends.
