And if Hav didn't get hurt the week before the Texans game most of the starters would have played that game. So it's not some new philosophy that the Rams starters don't play in the preseason. It was circumstances that might be unique to this season.
I agree with that. But it's also a calculated risk they thought they could pull off. It helps, again, that the OL returns all 5 starters and that the additions on defense are either savvy vets (4, named already) or returning Rams who know the system (Ebukam, Littleton, Longacre).
