Good luck with that/
BTW: I suspect you haven't done the research that other medical professionals have that may hold contrary opinions on the subject. Besides, whether the use of steroids is the actual cause of violent behavior or exacerbates a tortured soul is really beside the point which is that it is a dangerous catalyst especially to one violent enough to play football-at any level. All one needs to do is look at the studies on Lyle Alzado. Most of the people that I know and deny this are into weightlifting and other forms of bodybuilding. Are you ?
I am a professional body builder, yes. To be more specific, I hold a worthless pro card (that I had to pay for) that says I won a few shows. In other words being a body builder or an accomplished body builder doesn't mean anything. I'm prefacing so as to avoid the bro science stigma.
With the above said, I have my degree in exercise science and spent much of my adult career as a prep coach for athlete's. More applicable though, I have been part of 3 medical studies. 1 involved research and data for the wbff and two I was part of a case study.
Why am I relevant to those studies? Because I have used 8 cycles from age 23 until 32. Also because at age 32 I got graves disease which is a broken thyroid. Due to my known background I've been a natural Target for studies for those trying to prove or debunk steroid theory.
Now I'm certain that my abuse of steroids when I was younger affected things, my lifestyle of football and body building did most damage. Too much fitness manipulation. Now at age 36 I see that. I've got a thyroid that doesn't let me gain weight and doesn't let me sleep. I am the epitome of stupid and am affected by it. But steroids accentuated my health problem. Ultimately, my lifestyle did me in. But emotionally, the use of steroids does not make someone a monster.
