I agree that he won't start because of his salary. But he also likely won't get cut either. He'll probably be the most expensive 3rd (or 4th?) OT in the league. Then next January they move on.
But it is just OTAs and anything can happen. Then again....it is just OTAs- and if you can't keep your job for 10 days there are issues....

What if he's a slow learner who then gets his confidence undermined by the mistakes?
That could mean he never makes it at ROT and it could mean he ends up getting there slower than others but gets there nonetheless.
So the truth is, there is no one single zippy one-liner that will sum up the situation, in June. In late August? Anything we say at that point will be on safer ground.
