Let me re-phrase to be clearer: Not everyone has had Godwin as a top 2 round talent all year. I have no idea what gets you a write up because I frankly don't know what CBS or NFL.com are thinking so I assume at some point he was not highly regarded enough to warrant a write-up, yet somehow is in the 2nd round of a handful mocks.
Like I said, I have had him as a 3rd rounder (actually I have him at the very end of the 2nd @ 62 overall) and I believe when I started the season he was a 4th rounder. But I do that with almost every prospect. Last year I started the year with Wentz as a 2nd rounder and as he checked boxes he moved up. Same with C. Davis, last year I had him as a 2nd rounder, this year he just kept checking boxes and I moved him up. I tend to err on the side of caution.
yep, from March 19th:
As far as round 3 for a WR would go. It really depends on what McVay is going to do with Austin, if he thinks Kupp can be more then a slot (I do, Flipper doesn't I believe) and what he thinks about all the 2nd year guys.
Juju would be a real nice get in the 3rd
So would Godwin, a route runner with some speed so he could be a priority target.
Zay Jones is an option.
Chad Hansen is a person fav. of Flippers, and he makes a ton of sense in the 3rd.
Cooper Kupp - a tre, mendous route runner with great hands, question is, is he more then a slot guy.
Amarah Darboh - another route runner that isn't exactly a deep threat
