32. Pierre Garçon, WR, Washington Redskins Pierre Garçon’s issue is advancing age, because on play alone, he would be far higher. He ended 2016 with a PFF grade of 85.8, good enough for eighth among all wideouts, and he has a complete skill-set, able to beat people with speed, power and gain yards after the catch. He dropped only one pass in 2016 from 110 targets, and even had a solid blocking grade. He won’t be a long-term answer for anybody, but may be among the better immediate-impact signings.
Of the many reasons I don't follow PFF.
Garcon rated 8th among ALL wideouts but was knocked down to 32 because of his age at 31.
How long are free agent contracts generally for 1-3 years guaranteed?
Garcon can be a very valuable asset for a team for another 2-3 years at least!!
The professionalism and work ethic alone that he would provide for a team would be worth it.
Not to mention how invaluable he would be for a young qb's development like Jared Goff.
Pfffft.
Best,
