I was fine with giving Fisher this season, and he got fired.
As far as them, meaning Snead and Demoff, being lucky with McVay who knows. But this is more about Goff and Snead.
Now when you say the same guys running things, that's simply not true. Fisher was essentially the most powerful of the three and we don't know how many decisions he made that crapped out. It looks like a lot more than Snead because Snead still has a job and was involved in the interviews for the new HC.
You want to blame Snead for the same things you blamed Fisher for, but that's simply not possible since Snead didn't have final say.
As far as Demoff I think we agree he's not a true COO or President. He's just a mouthpiece and PR guy/cap guy.
So I'll say it again this is all about Snead and Goff right now. I've also said the QB and GM and very often the owner are the three most important guys on the payroll. I know what Kroenke is already we all do........if we hit on the other two the Rams could be good in a hurry. And by the way I have some faith in Snead and I'll leave you with this. He was allowed to go get street free agents on his own independent of Fisher and give them a shot to make the roster. He did really well. Clearly he has a grasp of how to identify talent.
And before you say "well he traded up to get Austin" no he didn't, he didn't make moves like that without Fishers direction.
You were ok with Fisher getting this season so you really didn't see Fisher as being a huge problem this season. Thats clear from reading your posts during the season. You never said I see it now, Fisher is a big problem.
But now you say we really don't know about Snead and Demoff cause Fisher had so much power. But that's the guy you never really saw as that bad in the first place.
This is a huge head scratcher.
You don't want to blame anyone until they are gone. Well, that way you can always be optimistic about the guys that are left. And guess what, that kind of stuff has been going on with Rams fans for 13 years.
