it is a crime...a misdemeanor for which he was charged. if it was more serious he would have been charged with a felony. moreover the charges were dropped and the parties involved decided to handle the situation like adults out of court.
he was wrong no doubt, but i would venture that everyone here has done something stupid that if caught would classify as a misdemeanor. i know i have. if you haven't than your a better person then me. but I suggest that you dont let a single incident define who a person is.
in terms of cutler, ill be honest im not totally familiar with the story...but is he wrong? cutler deserves criticism. he should not have said it to the media but hes hardly the first coach who has. and obviously its not a crime.

His defense was that it was dark and he didn't know the person he punched in the face was a child. But it wasn't so dark he couldn't see where the kids face was. And where the kids fishing pole was because he grabbed it and threw it into the water.
This wasn't a mistake, this was a crime. If you or I did this we would have been in serious trouble but since it's someone associated with pro sports he gets a slap on the wrist.
This is the guy who criticized Jay Cutler to the media anonymously then later cried during an apology.
Why would ANYONE want this guy? I canot believe there isn't a better person for the job..........what have we come to?
