There is no separating the two when it comes to personnel decisions. Snead does what Fisher wants.
I personally don't get the perception that they've done a good job stocking the team with talent. I think they've been incredibly inefficient in their drafting strategies and their trades and free agent signings have been a black-hole of failure. The intent to build a team around 1970's football style and philosophy is probably misguided, aiming to hit a space with the lowest odds of success in today's NFL that has built all the rules around rewarding passing and punishing running.
They hit one very big in Donald. Other than that, not a lot. Gurley is a great player, but he's still only a RB in today's NFL and he's already one reconstructed knee in. So, the wisdom of that pick and the philosophy is still very much in question in my opinion. Repeating the Steven Jackson era is very much something I think we should be worried about. We can only hope Jared Goff somehow manages to save us from that.
All due respect, 9er8er, but are you saying that you don't perceive that they've done a good job stocking the team with talent?
TBH, your whole first paragraph leaves me speechless. I wouldn't even know where to begin unraveling it. Lol.
