Last year we had a nasty front-loaded schedule in the first half, then a much softer schedule post-bye. We lost a few games in the first half of the season that were close, when our defense especially was still learning to play. But man, we had a great second half. The fact that we have an overall easier schedule this year needs to be taken into account.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
He intrigues me. I wonder if at least part-time he will serve as a quasi-LB next to Jones, since we really don't have one and he is good in the box and an excellent tackler. It is going to be interesting.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Rather than 1 bye week all at the same time, how about 2? 1 in week 9 and 1 in week 10? That way we could all still have games every weekend, but nobody would get early or late byes?by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Offense: Assuming health, we have not lost any significant players and we have greatly strengthened our OL with addition of Jackson and Avila in his second year. Plus we learned how to run the ball in the second half of the season last year. A McVay O with a strong run game is dangerous. I say offense is Better Defense. Lost AD. Lost Raheem Morris, who called a great defense last yearby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think safety is one of the most interesting positions in football. So many ways they can be used, and the best ones are real wildcards for offensive planning. Curl was a steal for what we had to pay for him. I can't wait to see how they do.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

These things make sense but it always makes me a little sad when someone who has been a good soldier and done everything asked of them has to be let go. I hope it is like you said that they are giving him an opportunity to catch on somewhere else. I mean Kansas City always needs receivers. Plus you never know when the lions are going to pick up someone we let go.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Okay so we are hitting the time of the year when there's basically no real news. So just for fun, how about this? Let's throw out some unlikely but interesting scenarios that could happen in the coming season. But probably won't. I'll start. Logan Bruss plays like a monster in the preseason and ends up taking a starting spot away from Jonah Jackson. He proves why he was pool Worthy by playingby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree it's nice to have another journalist who is willing to take the time to do analysis after doing research. This will be a writer I enjoy reading.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for posting that there's a lot to see in that one play. The stunt worked great leaving the path wide open to the quarterback. But Christian Rose booms effort to knock their receiver off the route was pretty sad.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that Raheem Morris richly deserved a head coaching job after last year. He took a whole lot of nothing but potential and made it into a working NFL defense. We're still young so Shula is going to have his work cut out for him. But we have four Young potentially outstanding lineman. One good linebacker plus a whole bunch of crossed fingers. And a very intriguing group of veterans and yoby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
It wasn't what I meant, but I like that idea as well.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we will have another year of the defense "finding itself" and gradually getting better in the first half of the season. I'd like to see the softer portion of our schedule early in the year, or at least a balance. Give us some leeway to win games with offense alone early on while the defense improves, then go on another run in the second half of the year. Rams had the best rby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

I spend quite a bit of time watching NFL videos particularly those about the Rams on YouTube. I'm curious which channels are commentators some of you find the most valuable. On the flip side I'm curious which ones you find the least valuable. There is at least one pair of gentlemen who put out 8 to 10 minute videos without any clips and in which they mostly seem to be parroting Jourdan rodriguby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

That's a really interesting take. Ricky Proehl is one of my all-time favorite Rams. He is too often forgotten or went unnoticed during the GSOT era, but his first downs, great hands and overall team play made a bigger difference on those teams than many realize. And of course, his forearm catch in the end zone against a nasty Buccaneers defense was the only thing that got us to the Superby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Snead learned his lesson when he missed out on Bobby Wagner that if you have a guy you believe in and really want, then you don't get cute. You get him. I think the Rams really locked onto Fiske as soon as Verse dropped to them. I hope they're right. Fiske was on a strong upward surge in the second part of 2023 and in the postseason - hopefully that continues.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
So the work you and Alyo provide, not only doing general player analysis but relating it to a high-level knowledge of the Rams needs and preferences, is invaluable. On draft day, I have your posts at hand and they're the first thing I look at after every pick. Honestly, Jourdan should crib from you guys. (Maybe she already does.) :) You two make the draft so much more fun!by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't say I understand a lot about psychology, or about Les Snead. But I have heard often enough that one of the most important lessons Snead learned was when we moved down and missed out on drafting Bobby Wagner. The ghost of Bobby Wagner is in our draft war room, and when they make the decision that a player is clearly the person that they want and believe in, they are not going to foolby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Whittington is going to surprise us and the NFL. I think he just got lost in the shuffle on a team with LOTS of good #1 receiver types. At the very least, if Kupp or Puka gets hurt, I like the backup. But I won't be shocked if he is a lot more than that.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
