#23 will not be a CB. You are right that Talib and Whitworth were not long term solutions. Rams have a window right now to go for the Superbowl, and they are. The next two years in particular. #23 could be an O Lineman because they are always valuable, otherwise I expect a player that will come in and play. I expect several rookie starters. I am NOT suggesting Rams are not keeping one eye on theby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
nothing can make the season unravel like a bad o line. god forbid Whitworth or Saffold get injured, we will be in trouble. Must protect Goff, MUST open holes for Gurley. It is going to be hard enough not taking a step backwards without Sammy Watkins, need to solidify the line. Go Ramsby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
I just don't understand this logic? It seems that since he is currently underpaid on his rookie contract, that everyone is ok just overpaying him in the future because he is so good? Look, if the Rams are not going to make him fulfill his contract and NOT franchise him...twice, I expect some give on his side. Work out a long term deal that will be preferable to the scenario I just mentioned, butby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
I worry that the O will suffer a setback without Sammy and an older O Line. I am hoping we address the O line with our top picks. The line makes everything go. If Whitworth or Saffold get hurt and we do not have the needed depth, the season can unravel in a hurry.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
I think they will trade down unless someone they LOVE falls. Snead loves recouping draft picks he traded away. If they can drop back to the mid 2nd while gaining an additional 2nd (hello Cleveland) they will do that deal. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
I am curious if Rams would consider Ridley or Sutton if either falls to #23. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
Peters, Talib and Joyner are gonna be jumping routes like we've never seen. With Donald and co. applying quick pressure, QBs better be extremely careful where they are throwing. I see many pick 6's in our future. If this team gets quick leads..... good grief. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
pros: created turnovers. He ripped balls out. cons: bad angles, played upright, struggled shedding blocks. Not a good tackler. I am not so sure he was the great leader everyone says. Im glad he was traded. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
He is aging and not very athletic. I would rather roll with the younger guys we got.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
Everyone knows my opinion on Snead, he is lucky to still have a job. Blew way too many premium picks Grob, Tavon, Quick, Pead are only guys picked in top two rounds! I do like his bold trades though. Demoff is a weasel and not sure how you justify Tavon & Ogletree extensions? Love McVay though, and believe in Wade. Go Rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
he is not worth the $. Lets move on. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
i think the Rams hope to enter the draft w/ no needs. i imagine they view Ebukan, Littleton and Longacre as potential starters. Sure, they know they will get some guys in the draft that will come in and play, but the idea is to enter the draft in position to be able to take BPA if someone they love falls to them.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
those mid round draft picks are going to be starting Linebackers. Im ok with that. Go Rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
so glad we are trading him. Huge contract, poor discipline, bad tackler. Still not sure it means we keep Sammy. Go Rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
Richardson will get paid, you will not get him on the cheap. He will be like R Woods was last year. Same w/ J Graham. You are not going to steal guys at this time of year. This is when teams overpay for players. With all the needs on our team, I do not see us investing in a TE. Not after drafting Everett last year. I understand your view, but do not see it as a priority. I am not suggesting Wby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
I heard his snippet about how he says he speaks his mind and is 100% honest and that is rare these days....or something to that effect. he's not for me, but that does not mean he won't be successful or his teammates won't love him. i just would not want him as face of my team. go ramsby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams are an offensive team. The Rams are Todd Gurley, Sean McVay and Jared Goff. The Rams need to light up the scoreboard. This is our identity. I am worried. The Rams o Line was great last year, and that was the most important factor in the team's turnaround and success last year. They protected Goff. They opened holes for Gurley. The line is returning, but is older, and the continued heby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
but you must take into account his drawing top CBs and his blocking ability and drawing coverage away from others. i could understand keeping him under the franchise tag for one more year since it seems we do have the $ and it is not a long term investment. this would ensure the O does not take steps backwards assuming the o line remains healthy. so i would only be annoyed if the rams sigby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams worried more about Donald, Gurley and Peters and Goff than Watkins. I expect Joyner stays a ram. Though it appears we are in good cap shape, Rams looking down the road and just do not think Watkins makes sense financially.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams are trying to extend Joyner, and Joyner's agent is playing hardball. It will go down to the wire, and if Rams cannot extend Joyner, it likely means he is seeking to get paid as much as possible, in which case they tag him and Watkins will probably walk. I doubt Rams want to extend Sammy. likely outcome - a deal is struck with Joyner on a 4 year deal, and Sammy gets tagged. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com

Rams probably were hoping Engram would fall to them last year which did not happen. I thought and still believe Everett was a reach. One thing about Snead is he seldom lets the draft come to him, he identifies a position and then drafts that position, especially in the 1st rd. A few years ago, Rams desperately needed O Line, drafted G Robinson. Desperately needed WR, drafted Tavon after giving upby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
i dont get that feeling at all. Nobody is crying we lost Quinn. Most are ecstatic we got a 4th for a guy we were probably going to cut. go rams.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
if he is not extended, he will be franchised, its pretty simple. Peters will instantly make the D better. The studs will return AD, Brockers, J Johnson and Joyner. Tree will be back (though I think he is just ok), and the rest will be filled by guys like Littleton, Ekuban types, along with perhaps a mid level FA and draft pick or two. imo, how Snead looks is irrelevant to decisions. If the rams feel it is in their best interest to keep Sammy Watkins around, they will, if not, oh well, the trade did not work out...chalk it up, and move on. Personally, I think the Rams end up franchising Sammy. We could certainly benefit from having him around another year without committing to him long term. Then we can reevaluate WR next yby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
i think part of his pitch to the Rams as HC involved presenting a plan that included Whitworth & Robert Woods. I doubt that was Snead. Snead makes good bold trades, but I do not think he has an eye for evaluating players. Im not a Snead fan, think he should have been fired, and hope he has little say when it comes to the draft. He is good at working the phones and making deals. Let him keep dby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams have so much more $ flexibility without Quinn eating up $25 million over next two years. Rams are also keeping on eye on Gurley, Goff, Peters down the line. Quinn had to go, and will likely be followed by Barron & Barwin.by spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
i am not disputing that Quinn is good. He is, but he is also injury prone, and players get more injured as they get older, this is just fact. I would much prefer to spend the $$ on younger, less injury prone guys like Donald and Joyner. Yeah, Rams could have kept Quinn, but just do not feel it justifies the investment. He is not in the long term plans. Who Is? AD, Joyner, Gurley, Brockers, AO, Peby spagsbacker - RamsFootballFans.com
