I am wondering if they could/should use him out of the slot working the middle of the field. We are short on TEs anyway.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Brissett can produce...would take any over Wolf.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I was assuming we lose both Gaines and Robinson and if so that will hurt a lot. Robinson has been very underrated physical presence. I know you meant Brown and I thought he showed good promise. Still need more bodies and not sure where they come from.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
I just don't support the high picks AND top 5 pay philosophy unless it is one key position of need to win it all. Too much currency. Look at what the Eagles gave up for and are paying Slay, Gardner-Johnson and Bradberry versus the Rams and Ramsey. And we have paid both kinds of assets to get guys and then paid assets for others to take their contracts (Cooks, Peters, Goff).by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
No they aren't. We are left trying to get excited about late round CBs that run 4.8s and 5'10" safeties. A lot of things broke our way last year and everything broke against us this year, bottomline we have not had the fundamentals of team building in place for a sustained run. Snead has repeatedly overpaid which required we hit on late picks, UDFAs, and late FA cheap vets. That has not happby farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Hope this is true but I am struggling to find optimism watching this physicality and looking at both lines having big question marks, the lack of an edge rusher, no starting safeties under contract, etc. 4 games against SF and a young physical Hag defense (with more high picks) is a challenge.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Could he bring some of their scouts with him?by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Judging by the reported offer for Burns I just don't see that Snead pulling back from his overpay tendencies.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
"Just look at the impact had by Darius Slay on the Philadelphia Eagles." Yeah and they only gave up a 3rd and a 5th and got comparable production. Overpaying is why the window is tighter than we all hoped.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Hire someone and tell SM you will trade his rights if/when he decides to come back. Payton is going to bring compensation.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Hope: Gay, Gaines, Scott.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
UK got the top QB transfer supposedly due to the Coen return. I think this is just him being politically correct to not cause waves.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Aside from the injuries he never played even close to his physical measurements.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
It would be good to get some insider info on which of the coaches that have gone on the HC gigs that he deferred to the most. We obviously have lost some talented staff and we just don't know the dynamics of how each interacted with him and he deferred to them. My guess is he and Coen just did not have good rapport or trust.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Announced by Mortensen. Best for both sides, IMO. I do think McVey needs help.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Hags and Jets both had drafts that really changed their outlook.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
UK fired Coen's replacement this week after one year, a niner guy Coen recommended, and word is they are going to offer Coen again. Doubt anyone here would be sad about that.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
He played in a read option offense in the ACC and ran free a lot. Most colleges play really soft zones to contain the QB.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Tutu said he was 151 in the preseason. I spent way too much time around then trying to find a contributor at 175 and came up empty. He is unplayable and should be told that he will be released next training camp if he shows up under 170. Drafting him in the 2nd and a former soccer player in the 4th as weapons was/is unconscionable.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Hakim was 40 pounds (22%) heavier.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
And signed him to a 4/$42 extension despite limited production.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
If you are referring to Bowers, he is a true sophomore and not eligible for the draft. He is an absolute stud though. They do have two other really big athletic dudes that will play in the NFL for sure.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with some of this around bad luck but Noteboom (often injured in limited PT) and Allen (due to his size) were injury risks coming in. Shelton is also somewhat of a finesse guy. Hard to also watch scrubs like Evans and Kolone hang around the roster rather than at least taking shots off other team's PS. Just poor acquisition and develop on the line, 17 game schedules demand durability and pby farley - RamsFootballFans.com
He weighted as little as 149 heading into the draft. You really can't find a productive player in the league under 180. That is a staggering delta.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
Article is pretty spot in. If you are going to have a very top heavy roster cap-wise you better scout very well and develop. We haven't and that is why the window of opportunity with this core is shorter than we hoped. I would disagree that we have had success in the late pics and UDFAs as well, average at best. We thought players like Gaines, Fuller, Edwards, Rochelle were great values but all hby farley - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think many people dislike Allen. Can only speak for myself but I think he will always struggle to stay healthy due to his size and he is part of the overall lack of physicality in the middle of the line.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
The scouting room needs a major overhaul.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
He was a FA and got nearly zero interest.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
The difference of traded picks for Slay and Ramsey has always stuck in my craw. Massive and only 6 months apart.by farley - RamsFootballFans.com
