The Rams made an initial offer and he was "insulted", he actually didn't even negotiate with them he tweeted that the offer was an insult and he shut down communication for the rest of the year. He wanted to get to free agency and cash in. Who wouldn't. And as I have been saying, get used to it. The new CBA means guys who are playing good football on inexpensive contracts are goiby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
IMO that's fair, and pretty standard too.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And how is Demoff not a "football guy". It's pretty much been his entire adult life and his father has had him around football since he was a kid? One could make the argument that he isn't competent but his career has been football related. Putting the Packers on a list of model franchises is questionable too. Prior to Favre and Rodgers you have to go all the way back to the Lombaby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Actually there are a couple of snarky writers in LA.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And he was a fan favorite there for awhile IIRC. Isn't that where he got his nickname?by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
For my money I hope he stays right where he is.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't want to have a 4 year run, then watch it all fall apart and start over again hoping for something to happen. Hoping for lightning in a bottle again. Though I expect to have to do that with Kroenke in control. There is always a lot of talk about The Patriot Way and how Kroenke wants to emulate that. And even there I think he is wrongheaded. The Patriot Way is going to fall on it's faceby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't stand the whole Hollywood thing either. As a former writer you must cringe at modern journalism and the on air drivel. I know Rambeau used to go out of his mind sometimes. But other times he would laugh at the level of incompetence.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
He has 4 years experience as an NFL coach. And lets not forget that his last year saw the 49ers falling apart. They went 8-8 and the O and D both dropped of BIG TIME. The D went from elite to just decent and the offense couldn't score. Not to mention he causes strife, and seems to hop around a lot. A nice 4 year run with a team that was already loaded doesn't make him qualified to essentiaby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
There's no reason for a professional writer or radio personality to take things as personally as Bernie does. It's really bad form. Just look at this line. I’m ticked off today. Why? Because I write several hundred pieces a year for 101sports.com … and I do 15 hours of live radio each week. And Fisher was fantastic material. He was a prolific source of rich content. It's a simpletons way toby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
How many guys retired/left/got kicked out of the NFL in essentially one year. Harbaugh leaving isn't what took that club down, it was losing several key players and Kaepernick and Gabbert not being very good. Had Harbaugh stayed I think the 49ers would still be on the bottom of the NFC West. They are THAT bad right now.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
We've got some holes there LOL. But this is the Harbaugh story..........it'll get clicks because of his name.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com

Kroenke? Demoff? Snead? this is a really difficult time for this club. It's not easy and the future is murky right now.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
This team was @#$%&, the worst as in literally THE WORST, when he and Snead got here. It's not accurate to say he ran it into the ground. It was INTO the ground when he got here. Remember? And feel free to lay off the smarmy remarks. I'm not calling you out on the fact that you thought Fisher was getting fired last year. Or that he wasn't getting fired this week. Or that Wentz was going toby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Alright lets start with HC's who have stability elsewhere want this job. Yeah I can easily call BS on that. No stable HC is going to leave that for the Rams. So there is a ton of talent, but a lot of people don't agree on that, assume it's true. I do. Yeah that makes it an attractive job. And that's why Snead should be retained. Big market means diddly. It's the money, we all know that.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Isn't that correct?by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure what you mean.........maybe he played in college? Anyway. The Nuggets are his closest to perfect model. Win enough to keep people coming. Of course that hasn't happened in the last several years. So why is he a basketball guy?by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And was not loved in Indy. I moved there the year he was traded and he was not very popular. He could still run though, like crazy, on a crap team.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
That's all I have. What do you have that tells you he wants to "win".by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
But Touchdown Tommy was fun. I don't think Ozzie had stepped into that role until after the team moved to Baltimore. So probably Belichik and Modell. Modell always had some influence on the draft. The Browns had a guy named Ernie Accorsi for awhile.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
He wants to win enough to fill the stands. If that's 8-8 OK, 9-7 OK, 10-6 OK. That's what matters. A full parking lot and full venue with people who have stomachs full of food and beer they bought. He's not a "football guy". Or a "basketball guy". Or a "soccer guy"/English "football guy". Or a "hockey guy". Or a "lacrosse guy". Odby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com

"Who cares he's like a Kardashian to me". True!!!by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
After Marty was fired the team went to pieces. Literally. Two years later he came in and started righting the ship, with Art Modell as the owner. No easy task. He didn't flop and most Browns fans (hindsight of course) will tell you that.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder how involved Kroenke will be........and Snead too.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
He was building the team into a winner, and in fact the year before everyone found out the Browns were leaving (the story broke during the season) he had a record of 11-5 and went 1-1 in the playoffs that year and had an excellent defense. He probably would have had a good year the next year but the team tanked and so did the staff when word got out that a move was coming. Even before it was oby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
