If he gives up the victory he has in hand now (late in the 2nd quarter) he’ll be fired. But he has his team firing. I’m a big fans of Asante Samuels Jr. after this game. What a corner.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, Rams have got to win their division. Niners aren’t the only problem. The Seahawks have all sorts of draft capital so if they pick one of the stud defensive linemen out of a Clemson or Georgia, that’s going to be a problem. The Rams need to stop trying to stop gap OLT. That’s where their offense is breaking down. They have some good options there, but they need an elite guy there.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Never heard of Stroud and he didn’t seem 6’10” with how fluid his strides were. Then you seen him surrounded by DBs a foot shorter. The Rams had a defensive lineman in the late 70s and his last name was Murphy. (Can’t remember his first name.). I think he was #95. He didn’t get a lot of snaps. He was a bit slow and a plodder. But he was on special teams—field goal defense. But they put him onby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Seattle going in for the drive with the potential to go up by one, illegal man downfield on a short curl pattern. And it wasn’t even clear the center was in violation. Even had it been a legit call, the “infraction” had no impact on the play. A couple of plays later, Geno is strip sacked and game over. LaFleur was OC or some offensive title on the Niners under Shanahan—run heavy offense. The McVay needs help there. McVay’s MO is to hire the people in the know that help him solve things he hasn’t decoded.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I am stoked!! The important thing is if he is doing what he likes to do. If he is then it is only a matter of learning what he can and cannot do. I hope he has made strides in finding that out.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn’t read that when it came out. But McVay has delivered subtle hints and “jokes for at least the last three years that he might retire. Everyone, reporters included, shrugged it off. Now we know it wasn’t a joke.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 from games of years past, but makes the same mistakes in the red zone over and over......A guy who continually says he needs to evaluate himself but still seems to basically stay status quo, with occasional brilliant calls. A guy who starts with a 1st and goal and ends with a FG, but the next time with the ball they drive 50+yards. Sounds like I'm ragging on him, but it is IMO aby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteden-the-coach I think it might be a couple of picks like a 3rd & a 5th. If it's a number 1 I pass and focus on Jim Harbaugh. There I posted it, the only coordinator I like is DeMeco Ryans, but I want an offensive coach. I also think it is a better scenario if the Rams hire a proven HC with a winning record. I love Harbaugh and I’d love to see him trolling the 49ers on their bus leavby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

We’ve beat the Morris horse multiple times to death and you make an insightful point that the pressure applied to not make a mistake is on McVay’s offense—conversely as Morris intends. But how about coaching up good tackling? Does anyone on this board, even the stoutest Morris backers, think that the Rams’ defense is top five in tackling? If you reply, oh, that’s an easy fix. I came to this from the angle that the front office told McVay to move on from Morris. If you’re right or I’m right, that’s not how business men conduct business, i.e., going into a funk. Hope we’re wrong and he’s just burned out.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

How quick of a turn around could they pull off if they blow it all up? Trade away all the big contracts. Eat tons of dead cap money. He played QB in college. Coached Drew Brees to the Hall of Fame. Won a Lombardi. Does he seem smug? Well, he’s a branch that stems from the Parcels’ tree. Maybe following in McVay’s enculturation shadow he becomes less surly. I just would hope he keeps his team surly on the field. He seems to draft well. (I’ll prove a link soon.
